This is designated by the park as a "track" and is for high speeds. There is a one-way direction restriction: basically clockwise from the parking area. At most trail junctions, you go right, but be sure follow the posted signs. Use "trails" for leisurely traveling. The track closes at sunset and is open daily for individuals and informal groups, except during special events. For event information contact the park office.
Description
This is the loop for the Sonoran Loop Competitive Track at White Tank Mountain Regional Park without the "Experts Only" portion. It is a challenging course, especially the climb around mile three on the northern end of the course.
Follow the posted one-way signs. If you are not taking part in an event which has exclusive access to the track, watch out for fast cyclists and galloping horses! Also note, that this is probably not the best trails for leisurely hiking or sightseeing, and I would suggest not wearing any headphones since all traffic will be coming from behind you.
