Description

The Wilderness Trail is a doubletrack that leads from the alternative parking area to the Ice Cream Hill area. It's an easier alternative to the singletrack Spring Branch Trail.

Particularly the western reaches of the trail are very rocky. You'll see a lot of yucca and prickly pear cactus which means minimal cover from the sun.

The doubletrack dead-ends at the Spring Branch Trail. A left will take you on a twisting section of the Spring Branch Trail back to the Wilderness Trail to make a lollipop loop. A right takes you towards the Bandera Creek Road or Bandera Creek Trail #7 which you can take back to your car.

Flora & Fauna

Prickly pear, yucca.
