Once it starts snowing, the Ponderosa Park trails are closed to hiking and biking.

Description

The Ridgeline Trail runs along the spine of the northern end of the Ponderosa State Park peninsula. The northern end starts with a junction with the Huckleberry Trail and the southern end connects with the closed road near the Lily Marsh.

It is easy hiking except for a couple of short sections of large basalt rock. At the southern end, the trail makes a couple of switchbacks on these rocks; take that section slow as the footing can be loose.

This trail is not open to mountain bikers and isn't used very much. There are a couple of nice views along the trail.

Flora & Fauna

Mule deer.
