Description

The southern extension of the Anthony Wayne Trail is a fairly level route that runs parallel and below the Appalachian Trail. This one is open to mountain bikers as well, so keep an ear out for them.

The trail starts just east of the Anthony Wayne parking area - you can take the Anthony Wayne Trail a short distance to access it. The trail will take you south parallel to the Appalachian Trail but well below it. Eventually, the trail will cross the AT and meet the Ramapo-Dunderberg Trail. It continues a short ways and meets a few other unmarked trails.

Be careful where you step! This rattlesnake was warming itself on the trail.
