Description

This moderate trail which runs along the reservoir from one end of the main fire trail (Merryman Trail) to the mid-portion of the fire trail, is not an easy hike. There are many downed trees to get over, an angled hill that is difficult on the feet and ankles, and sections that overhang the reservoir at several points.

Towards the northern end you have the choice to either stay left and head back to the mail fire trail or stay right and cross the creek on the boulders or via downed trees over the creek to continue for a short spur along the water.
