Description
One of the many trails winding through French Creek State Park, this trail makes its way through the hilly terrain of French Creek and is a wider, relatively smooth trail that is not highly technical. No major ruts or erosion were noticed, providing the opportunity for a nice hike through pleasant Pennsylvania woods.
When I was there in late fall, there was not much dense underbrush, and you could see pretty clearly throughout the woods which are mostly deciduous. There were some laurel as well. The trail is primarily soft dirt with occasional rockier sections. The trail is marked with green blazes and accessible from a few points within the park, including the Scotts Run Lake area, making it a good connector or start to one of the many other blazed trails in the area. It is a multi-use trail with bikers, and there is hunting allowed.
