Family Friendly Easy walking, bathroom in the parking lot, and pond access makes for a good family hike.

Description

This easy loop trail offers access to the Twin Valley Trail Pine Ridge Backcountry campsites. The trails are relatively flat with slight terrain changes making it a great loop for little ones or from the group campsites in the Camp Hook area is the trail that gains you access to hiking the rest of the park. Listen for the "who cooks for you all" hoots of the Barred Owl as they are common in this area. Spring Peepers can be heard near Lake George, where catch and release fishing is permitted without a license.
