Family Friendly A minor escape from suburbia.

Description

Tucked out of sight of most homes, you can almost forget you are in a monotonous terracotta roof-sprawl of suburbia. The trail entrance sign from the Grand Del Mar golf course, midway along the trail, marks it as "strenuous" but that is more a reflection on the type of guest at their resort than any particular difficulty.

Flora & Fauna

The tallest tree a bit east of the end of the golf course has an eagle's nest. In the spring, mustard plants grow along the west end of the trail.
