Description

From the gate near the picnic area in Big Basin State Park, Gazos Creek Road climbs up Redwood Creek and crosses the Dool Trail. It then joins Middle Ridge Road for a short stretch and splits west, rounding a hillside and crossing West Waddell Creek.

At the Sandy Point junction, you'll find some old railroad cars and an impressive treehouse. From there, Gazos Creek Road descends steeply to the north and then follows Gazos Creek west.

The trail ends where Gazos Creek Road becomes paved. From there, it continues west to Highway 1.
