Description

An excellent option to extend the Plain of Six Glaciers Trail hike with some more variety. This well-built trail starts either from Mirror Lake Connector and Mirror Lake or about halfway along the Plain of Six Glaciers Trail. It gets far fewer hikers than the Plain of Six Glaciers Trail so it can offer a little solitude in an otherwise pretty crowded part of the park.

It gains a decent amount of elevation but is never very steep. The lower part is in open fields with great views while the upper portion is in thick pine forest. Views from above the lake still open up from time to time.
