Description

This trail starts at the parking lot just off the southeast side of Holford Road, less than a mile south of US190 PGBT. A restroom and shade structure are present at the entrance.

The trail winds gently up and down with enough elevation gain to get the legs stretched out. About a 1/4 mile after you start, there is a right fork that will lead you down into the forest and ends at a picturesque bench next to Spring Creek. This short out-and-back Spring Creek Forest Spur Trail is well worth the additional steps. Once back on the main path, continue on to the southeast until you reach Garland Road.

Flora & Fauna

Plenty of birds and wildlife in the forest. Although this is a large paved trail, it does run through a forest and snakes are present. Pay attention.
