Description

This trail starts along NC 181 and is a part of the longer Mountains-to-Sea Trail. The trail begins steeply as it makes a quick one mile descent down to Upper Creek. After the crossing of Upper Creek (mandatory wet feet), the trail follows an old rail road grade for the next 3ish miles as it slowly climbs to meet up with Chestnut Mountain Raod - FS 198. This is a great hiking trail due to the easy grade of the last 3 miles.
