This nice, deeply forested trail has a great change of elevation, yet is not that difficult to hike.

Description

This trail is a very nice 1.5-mile hike. There are some rocky outcroppings that you weave around, but it is not bad. The easier route is to go around the loop counterclockwise. This leaves the steepest side for the last part of your hike, which is then downhill.

The connector trail at the top of Pine Mountain takes you over to the East Loop or just to the Archer Summit, which has a beautiful view.

Flora & Fauna

Deer, birds, and squirrels can be seen from time to time.
