Description

This is a good trail for accessing the climb up Hunter Mountain or for getting to a stretch of the Devil's Path Trail. There are clear blue blazes along it. There is a nice, small waterfall called Diamond Notch from which the trail gets it's name. If you are just interested in the falls or ascending Hunter Mountain, starting on the north end is faster and easier. There is quite a bit more elevation gain from the Rough Road parking area than from the parking area on Spruceton Road.
