Description
The Cattail Trail is an extension off of the
Eco Loop. It offers the hiker just a little bit of extra distance and stunning views. The first half continues where the
Eco Loop left off, bringing you down off of the hill and giving you a much closer view of the marshes, while still offering lovely landscape views and wildlife/plant life viewing.
The second half of the trail enters into the woods on the adjacent hill from the
Eco Loop, meaning the trail does become a little narrower, rougher, and steeper. However, it is still easily doable for most people and offers up more lovely sights than if you were to stay on the shorter
Eco Loop. At the end of this trail, it does meet right back up with the
Eco Loop, so if someone is not feeling up for the longer Cattail Trail, they can take the shorter
Eco Loop and still meet right up with you at the intersection.
