Description

This hike starts on the desert floor and you slowly ascend into the pines and end at a nice little cabin in a canyon. There are campsites all around the cabin.

At the cabin, there is a small trickle of water coming from a pipe in a spring. I think it runs most of the year. Stop in at Corn Creek nature preserve before hiking the trail, the rangers might be able to tell you if the spring is running.

This is a must as there is no other source of water on the trail. Overall, this trail makes for a nice little overnighter or day hike. You could hike this in the winter, just bring warmer gear/snowshoes.

Hiked the trail today and the weather was perfect. It's a gradual incline up to the cabin. The water is only a droplet at a time from the pipe.

Trail was nice and quiet all the way up. Had a few people camping up by the cabin. The water is still trickling from the pipe.
