Dogs Leashed
Features
River/Creek · Wildlife
Bicycles are not permitted on this trail. The lower section of this trail (between the junction with
Stream Trail and the sharp turn at the split-rail fence) is within the Stream Trail Resource Protection Area, so dogs must be on leash in that section; the restriction is noted by a sign at the sharp turn. Dogs may be off leash but under voice control above the sign.
Description
This trail connects the
Stream Trail at the Mill Site bridge and the middle section of the
French Trail. The low section uses part of an old alignment of the
Stream Trail and follows the canyon's primary stream closely along the stream's west bank. The upper section is quite steep in one area. The upper section and lower section meet at a sharp turn at a split-rail fence. (Trail users should not cross this fence line; the property on the other side is restricted as a Resource Protection Area associated with the stream and its wildlife.)
Flora & Fauna
Coast redwoods and California bay laurels predominate.
