Description
This is a mulched .4 mile trail through scrubby flatwoods that traverses the gopher tortoise preserve area of the Gordon River Greenway.
Flora & Fauna
The habitat in this area of the Gordon River Greenway is scrubby flatwoods. Large slash pines and ancient sand live oaks are the predominant canopy species, with saw palmetto, sumac, rusty lyonia , grasses and forbs making up the remainder. This is the gopher tortoise preserve for the project.
