Overview

Follow this winding trail from the lily pad pond around E.C. Lawrence Park.

Description

Tucked between 66 and Sully Road in Centreville is beautiful Ellanor C. Lawrence Park. If you enter the park from Sully Rd, you'll find a small parking lot alongside a lily pond on the left. If you're traveling south on Walney Rd from Poplar Tree Rd, it will be on your right.

Set off on the trail past the pond and work your way over a small creek. Stay to the left at the first split and wind your way north through the park. A few trails will intersect, but keep to the left at every one.

About 1.3 miles in, you'll find an opening to the power lines but turn right and stay in the woods. 2/10ths of a mile later will be a fire road to the left, but stay right.

The trail will open up into doubletrack and will deposit you out by the visitor center. Continue to the far side of the field and get back on the wooded trail before returning to the lily pond.
