Description

From the dense forests along the Rio Ascencio, climb up toward the base of the Torres del Paine. As you climb past treeline, enjoy the dramatic views to the glaciated mountains to the north. The trail becomes rocky as it winds around granite boulders toward a glacial tarn. As the trail crests, you are rewarded with an amazing view of the Torres del Paine and the glacial tarn below them. The going is steep, and you'll find yourself wanting to stop for frequent breaks.
