Description

From the parking lot, the road enters the forest and goes by a caretaker's house. About a half mile from the start, there are a few nice views of Los Altos. Continue to the end of the road to an intersection where you can go right for the Black Mountain Trail or left for the Chamise Trail.

Flora & Fauna

A mix of chaparral and forests of coast live oak and California bay.
