Family Friendly This is a nice option for kids if you're hiking a small loop on the east side of the park. Plus, there's a large boulder to scramble over.

Description

Upper Surfer's Way starts with a steep climb away from the road, but quickly levels off at the intersection with Over the Top and continues along a rocky traverse past a seasonal pond.

From there, the moderately steep singletrack heads off through open woods. Small rocks and roots are scattered about, giving the trail a pleasantly rough, but still easy feel. A large boulder beside the trail marks the end of the tech, and Upper Surfer's Way soon ends after a few dips and turns at the intersection with Lower Surfer's Way and Down South.
