Most of the trail is in private bear hunting land. Be aware of hunters, trucks, and ATVs from October to January.

Description

This historic path is a western NC classic. The trail is very rocky in most parts and very technical despite its width. During the winter, the trail can have a lot of ice on it, and during the summer, it can be wet and muddy in those same parts.
