Description

The Possum Trail is one of the few singletrack trails inside South Mountains State Park. It is a really nice benched-in cut up a ridge with some decent views through the trees of the surrounding ridges. Access this route either from the Shinny Trail or from the Horseridge Trail.

Hiked top to bottom. Trail on the ridge is more like doubletrack. Changes to single for descent. Overgrown and eroded in places. Recovering from fire 1.5mi

Made two trips, heavy rainfall and swollen creek prevented first attempt. Loved the trail. See http://www.eta-carina-ltd.com/hikes/trip06/hike06.html 1.8mi — 1h 30m
