Very steep and loose. There is also poison ivy present; wear long pants. Campfires are not permitted and backcountry permits are required!

Description

From the road, this trail drops steeply into Long Draw. Though your journey will begin in a fairly dense forest, as you descend on this rocky trail, the vegetation will start to thin. Eventually, the draw pops you out at one of the most stunning sections of the canyon. Take a few moments to appreciate the roar of the Gunnison River, and the dramatic walls of the Black Canyon. From the bottom, you can see Island Peaks to the south, and Grizzly Gulch to the north.
