Summer is too hot to hike this loop during the day, but don't hike it at night if you don't know the area.
Overview
A loop that utilizes some well-traveled roads and some lesser-traveled trails.
Description
Park at the end of the pavement on Mormon Mesa Road. Hike the flats on the heavily used dirt road up the Mesa. Once on top take a left going north, taking the most well-traveled path. Stay on this for around a mile to a left turn onto a pretty obvious four-wheeler path. This section is rocky, ankles beware. Follow this section out to the edge of the Mesa, the drop of the edge is marked with a cairn. The trail down is somewhat traveled but the destination is obvious. Take the trail south to the old dump, that big white area, where your car is parked.
Flora & Fauna
Cactus flowers in spring are very pretty.
