Description

The Quilter Trail connects the Rincon Valley trails to Manning Camp Trail. This trail also runs concurrent with the AZT - Passage 9 - Rincon Mountains section as the AZT cuts north/south through the Rincon Mountain District of Saguaro.

The Quilter Trail is a steady climb from Hope Camp Trail to Manning Camp Trail, with a strenuous push from mile 1.5 to mile 2.5 as this mile-long section of trail climbs much more steeply with some switchbacks to aid your climb. From here, the rest of the trail levels out for a rolling finish to the junction with the Manning Camp Trail.

From this junction, the AZT continues along with the Manning Camp Trail to the north (left) or you can head south (right) to follow Manning Camp Trail to its southern trailhead.

Flora & Fauna

The park is home to black bear, white-tailed deer, mountain lion, and coati, along with hundreds of birds, reptiles, insects, and amphibian species.
