Though somewhat short, don't underestimate the climb to the summit of North Top. The paved trail makes for easy hiking, and the views at the top are an ample reward.

This route features a very steep climb, though there are many chances to take a breath with breathtaking views! The parking lot here is small, but there is more parking available to the south on 7th Street with bathrooms (this parking closes at 7 pm). This path is paved all the way to the towers at the top, but you'll want to bear left just below the towers and follow the unpaved trail along the ridge to the peak for the final vista of the valley below!

Cactus including saguaro, prickly pear, barrel cactus. Ocotillo, mesquites. And ground squirrels if you're lucky!
