A trail that is more notable for the stone stairs and reclaimed stone building than for the trail's namesake.

Description

There is not much to this trail. Yet, it is as memorable as any other trail in the park.

The trail can be accessed from several trails: Chestnut Path, Laurel Trail, Cabin Trail, Bridle Path, Waterfall Connector, or the Butterfly Fields.

The trail begins by passing a stone structure missing a roof and much of its walls, with grass and vegetation growing all around it. Once past the house, the trail makes a very steep dip to a stream bed. There are small trees to grasp as you descend, but hikers should take care not to rely too heavily on them as this could potentially damage the trees. A long stretch of stone steps follows, which take you back up the hill, maybe 50 feet, before the trail connects with Chestnut Path and the Butterfly Fields trail system.
