An old concrete path taken over by dirt and erosion, leaving ankle-twisting loose rock and uneven trail down a hill.

Description

The trail starts roughly from the upper parking lot. At the far end of the lot is a fire road to the end of the park property. Take a right at the end of the road to head back toward the park. Note, just before the end of the road is an intersection with the Gravel Path on the left, and an unmarked trail leading to the Butterfly Fields.

The Bridle Path is a tricky trail starting with a descent before a short climb and the final short descent to Waterthrush Way. While considered separate trails, they are alike in trail surface, which is a mishmash of old concrete and loose stone. Moreover, soil and vegetation has begun to grow in areas. This has left both trails in an odd situation where hikers will have to deal with uneven and constantly changing surfaces.

The Bridle Path technically ends at a fork with Waterthrush Way to the left and the Laurel Trail to the right, which loops back to the Bridle Path.
