Description

This trail starts off the Spring Hollow Trail at either end. The southern trailhead can be located at the bottom of the cinder section of trail that leads from the parking lot. Once at the bottom of the hill, the treeline will break to the right, away from the trail, and the entrance to Oak Forest will be a grassy-looking swath cut into the treeline. The northern trailhead has a singletrack dirt entrance and is easily seen from the Spring Hollow Trail.

Starting from the southern trailhead, hikers will immediately start to climb the hill. Once at the top, the trail weaves through the regenerating forest. It should be noted that the trail may be hard to follow as the foliage is not dense, and little undergrowth is present. As hikers make their way across the hilltop to the northern end, there is steep descent back to Spring Hollow Trail.
