Family Friendly While not the most visually interesting trail in the preserve, kids will still enjoy romping through its head-high grasses in search of wildlife.

Description

At over two miles, the East Trail is the longest trail in the forest preserve. The gentle mown-grass path takes hikers for a pleasant journey past marshes and through grasslands.

Keep an eye out for wildlife and birds as you explore the area's grasslands.
