Description

This peaceful and popular section of trail leads from the Willamette Trailhead to a spot just across the road from the Fox Hollow Trailhead. Starting from the west, the trail quickly passes through a grassy field dotted with oak. Soon after, the gravel path heads into a bright forest.

Over the next mile, the trail reaches its high point before descending to an intersection with the Ridgeline Trail: Junction to Spencer Butte Main Trail (turn right here if you're heading to Spencer Butte).

The remainder of the trail winds down tree-and-fern-covered slopes to end at Fox Hollow Road across from the trailhead. Keep right at a split in the trail that appears between a few switchbacks (the left side is residential access).

Flora & Fauna

Watch out for poison oak.
