Description

Jackass Trail is a narrow singletrack and is overgrown with poison oak in some places. When approaching from Blue Ridge Road, it can be easy to miss so keep watch for the trail marker.

The trail descends along a ridge that suffered badly during the 2007 Lick Fire. At times the charred remains of trees reaching out through the brush can be hauntingly beautiful. The trail winds down southward and eventually meets up with Poverty Flat Road.
