Description

The Anza Trail starts with a nice climb that includes many switchbacks as it heads up from Coit Road to a junction first with the Cullen Trail which branches off to the east, and then with Jackson Trail. Once at the junction with Jackson Trail, at just under a mile in, the climbing is done, and you'll enjoy an easy, gradual descent to the Grapevine Trail.

The trail is mostly shaded and makes for a much nicer option than climbing up Coit Raod to reach the Grapevine Trail.
