Please respect all rules and signage surrounding the
Hollywood Sign. It is illegal to climb over the fence surrounding the sign.
Description
Mt. Lee Drive begins at the end of Deronda Drive and heads north up the mountainside. You'll have great views of Forest Lawn and downtown Burbank during this portion of the hike. After hiking up the paved road for nearly 4/10 of a mile, you'll reach a juncture where the
Mulholland Trail runs into the road. Many hikers bound for the
Hollywood Sign will join Mt. Lee Drive here.
The road continues further up the hillside before wrapping around the ridgeline that sits above the
Hollywood Sign. You'll be able to enjoy views of L.A. from 100 feet above the sign itself. Once you've enjoyed your time above the sign, you can turn around and follow the same route back to the beginning of Mt. Lee Drive or link up with other trails in the area to extend your hike.
