Description

The trail starts off the road, south of the Upper Blanchard Hill Parking Lot. The first half mile is quite gradual and smooth; it's also lined by frequent rock culverts along the trail for drainage. As you climb, the trail gets steeper and there are more rocky sections to contend with. The grade remains pretty steady to the top.

At 1.5 miles, there is a gentle creek crossing that pretty much disappears in the summer months. Ahead a suspended bridge tucked into a small clearing signals a short descent before the final climb to the intersection with the Lily Lake Trail and Lizard Lake Trail.
