Description

This trail connects the Samish Overlook to Lily Lake, and sweeps through dense evergreen forest and a couple of clear cuts (Blanchard is a working forest). The cushiony understory makes for a trail that 's easy on the knees. There will be a steep climb at the beginning, but things well mellow out after the first .4 miles.

This route is also a great way to short-cut between two popular trails in the area, the Samish Bay Trail, and either the Larry Reed Trail, or the Lily Lizard Trail.
