Need to Know

This trail is the fastest way to reach the falls and shares a parking lot with the lake. It can be crowded during peak season.

Description

The Lower Falls Trail is a short easy hike through a wooded area of the park. There are six interpretive nature signs along the way that make the hike more interesting. You'll likely see many types of birds and small wildlife along the trail, as there are undisturbed native plants and trees. There are a few short turnoffs that lead to nice views of the river. The trail ends at an overlook with spectacular views of Cunningham Falls.
