The trail is closed for elk calving during the winter months.
Description
The trailhead leaves from a residential neighborhood with parking for a couple cars available. The trail is frequently used for dog walking or mountain bike access to Adam's Gulch. The trail was formerly a doubletrack but has been rehabbed to a wide singletrack with some paralleling side trails that are predominantly used by mountain bikers.
The trail starts by squeezing between private property and a horse corral so please be respectful so this access continues. The trail moves up the valley to a saddle where you have the option to continue straight and go down to Shadyside or
Adams Gulch. The other option is east up a steep trail to the top of the ridge, or to the west on a slightly rougher singletrack loop that has views of Downtown Ketchum.
There is no water in this valley, so do bring your own.
