Description

From the Ophir Mountain Road doubletrack, this trail heads off to the west. After roughly 0.5 miles, Ho Chi Min Trail #9155 heads off to the right (north). Here, you'll see a marker for the 9047 Trail but not for Ho Chi Min Trail #9155.

Follow this trail for 0.2 miles to a sharp right hander that follows a bench. From here, the trail continues on the bench for a few tenths of a mile before dropping quickly down to the Peaks Trail.

This is a fun alternate loop option where you can incorporate CT - Segment 7 (Gold Hill Trail) and Peaks Trail. Hiking either west to east or east to west is fine. The trail is narrow but the downhill to the Peaks Trail is sandy, so an ankle roll isn't a huge risk even if you're hiking east to west.
