Dogs Leashed
Description
This trail starts off after following Rock Run Road, across the bridge. You'll see as you cross the bridge that there is an orange marker. It's quite steep at first, as you climb through the forest, however, throughout most of the trail it remains pretty climate. You'll want to be careful, as this trail veers off from the "blue trail". If you miss your turn, you'll just be able to follow it backwards. It's not technically a loop, because at some point, depending on which direction you go, you'll end up at the
Farm Road Trail (blue), and connect your way back to the Ivy Branch Trail (orange). While not super long, this trail does boast a lot of diversity, from forest, to field, you'll meander your way across small creeks, parallel to a private farm (where you can watch grazing horses) and through rocky terrain. I love it for a nice afternoon hike when I don't have a lot of time, but need to get out with nature. I love going in spring, when the leaves haven't quite blossomed on the trees, yet you'll find a bright green blanket of growth on the forest bed. Just stunning.
