This route creates a scenic loop around a lake formed by the Lago di Dévero dam. It leads through forests of fir and spring blooms.

This hike is encompassed by a scenic and austere alpine environment. It features high altitude rolling grasslands and great mountains with immense windswept ridges that surround the trail. This unique trail combines an environment shaped by nature with the result of the work of countless generations of mountaineers.

The path begins from the wide and sunny mountain pasture Devero, and after a short while, you reach the "Lake of the witches" with lovely clear water. From there, the trail climbs to the dam and follows the outline of the lake (take a break to head to the beach of Codelago). After descending into the charming village of Campriolo (where you can eat a great yogurt), you'll finally rejoin the starting point.

Un ambiente alpino dolce e austero: dolce nelle praterie ondulate d'alta quota e austero nella severità delle grandi montagne e nelle immense giogaie battute dal vento. Un ambiente modellato dall'uomo, risultato del lavoro di infinite generazioni di montanari.

Il percorso inizia nell'alpeggio del Devero ampio e soleggiato, si prosegue e dopo 20 minuti si raggiunge il "lago delle streghe" incantevole acqua limpida, poi si sale alla diga da dove si percorre il contorno del lago Devero (è obbligatoria una sosta alla spiaggia dì Codelago). Dopo si scende nel delizioso paesino di Campriolo (dove è possibile mangiare un un ottimo yogurt) per infine ricongiungersi al punto iniziale.
