Description
This trail makes for an aerobic trip all by itself. Typically, however, this section is used as the first climb on the
Spitzstein Loop to the top of Spitzstein.
The trail winds through dark, damp woods with a couple downed trees to clamber over. The tread can be loose and wet in spots, especially after any rain.
There are a couple meadows that are full of small, vibrant wildflowers. Because of the dense forest surrounding the trail, views are rare until you reach the end of the trail at the fire road.
Flora & Fauna
Dense conifer forest with a couple wildflower meadows.
