From the North Rim Trail of Dimple Dell, this trail splits off and quickly turns into a very soft, sandy surface (that can be hard to hike through at times). The trail offers good views of Lone Peak and the surrounding foothills, as well as into Dimple Dell. This is a good diversion if one is looking for a change in scenery and surface from the normal, bark mulch-covered North Rim Trail.
