Description

Starting at the north side of the San Pedro Vista lookout, this trail heads up to the east of the highway, pretty much immediately steeply ascending the ridgeline. The trail early on tends to be loose, so watch your footing, especially if you're descending the trail through this section.

While the steep trail does pose a decent challenge, it also lends great views, and before long, Mount Bigelow can be seen in the distance up ahead. The trail itself is quite clear the entire way up and shouldn't pose any navigation issues. As the trail continues further up the ridgeline, it does become easier to navigate over the last third. You'll continue straight on pass the Knagge Trail intersection and not long thereafter arrive at the Incinerator Parking area/campsite.
