Description

There is a large parking lot at the Richard E. Genser Trailhead with a kiosk and map, but there are no facilities.

From the trailhead, the trail starts off doubletrack with a fair amount of loose rock. The Rock Wren Trail darts off to the right; go left, and the trail curves around and goes back and forth from singletrack to doubletrack.

At the southwest corner of the park, the trail jaunts right and turns into more of a dirt road along the edge of the park. The trail becomes singletrack again after the housing developments end on the left shortly before the trail joins the Yetman Trail. You'll be hiking in the desert, so be prepared for sun and exposure.
