Description

The trailheads are located at the entrance to Mt. Lebanon Public Works Yard and the end of Driftwood Drive. The trail begins with a decent hill at the public work's trailhead which plateaus into a shaded singletrack running south.

After a quarter mile, the woods open up, and the trail bends west. Then the trail descends to a creek via a switchback, crosses a bridge, and climbs the other side with large, railroad tie-style steps. The trail continues along a ridge overlooking Painters Run Road before snaking back into the woods. It passes a community fire pit before turning north. The rest of the trail varies in terrain every 50 yards, keeping it interesting.

Flora & Fauna

There are a few areas surrounded by dense undergrowth, but the trail is well maintained. Birds and rabbits are common, deer less so.
