Description

Well-marked signs placed about 2.5 miles into the Campbell Creek Loop Trail designate the intersection where you'll branch out on this extension leading to the Cape Fear River. It goes sharply downhill and features rustic built-in steps and erosion breaks. While you'll need to watch your footing, the going isn't overly difficult.

If the water is low you can wade out in calf deep water to the rock slab that makes up the falls. When the water is high, use your best judgement about wading.
