Description

The trail is nice and easy to follow until the last two miles where it becomes steep over rock outcrops making it hard to follow. You'll need to look for some trees that have white rope with blue dots tied to them, as well as rock cairns to help mark the trail.

The best time to hike is end of June to October or when the snow is gone from the mountains.

Challenging hike with full packs, but the payout was great. Good fishing and beautiful views for an overnight. 8.7mi — 6h 30m

Out and back, beautiful hike! The last mile or so up to the lake is the steepest and can be a little tricky, but worth it. 10.7mi — 5h 21m
